Most of Chicago did not vote in recent mayoral and aldermanic election according to an article in Block Club Chicago by Colin Boyle. It is alarming in that given the disaster that is Chicago one would think the citizens would be galvanized to cast their ballot for change yet less than a third of registered voters did which was less than 2019 or 2015 mayoral contests. In a way they did by smacking the resident (you fill in the blank) LIEFOOT out in demonsrative fashion and forcing a runoff election for April 4th between our favored candidate Paul Vallas and Brandon Johnson. But in Chicago , which for decades has been run by organized groups of voters (read unions) fact the masses at large not showing up gives an unfair numerical advantage to organized well funded groups and explains why THIS city and state(except for downstate) remains staunchly democratic. Given record number of mail in ballots received and early voting options utilized let us hope the turnout is more robust for the runoff. But with LIEFOOT out people may become ambivalent even though both runoff candidates have vastly different views on policing in regards to law and order, a key issue for most Chicagoans. We shall see….

When we point out things Trump did in stark contrast to the current administration or calling out the stupidity of people during his administration who castigated his moves, it is NOT supporting the man per se, but merely pointing out facts. And the fact is he was ridiculed by fools for creating the Space Force is proof positive of that fact especially taken in the context of this post.
