Great story from Block Club Chicago on black cowboys. Sadly the brain dead idiot stupid “dreadhead’ cowboy tainted the image of black cowboys back in 2020 when the moron abused a horse riding it on the Dan Ryan almost crippling it to highlight a message long forgotten and if not for an amazing equestrian the animal would have been put down. Then the utter and complete fool represented himself in court when charged with animal cruelty and enraged the judge so much with his ignorant antics he was given a year in jail.That whole debacle was a black eye (no pun intended) on the concept of black cowboys in Chicago sorry to say.

This tragic incident happened in our area and we remember posting it at the time. The victim was walking along Roosevelt Road in Wheaton in an area familiar to us and from the news reports at the time was hit in an area not well lit in the evening hours on Jan 2 of this year. We feel for the family grappling with the tragic aftermath of this to start the New Year and post this with the hope it prompts someone to come forward to either voice a legitimate suspicion on who may have done it or the actual driver who did it. Please help if you can, it is the right thing to do. RIP
