Talked to a friend in El Centro CA , 8 miles from border who echoed these claims there. Goes to bed at night with weapons in each room of the house never knowing when desperate migrant may break in. Local economy starved by government confiscating local hotel rooms (killing snowbirds from North coming in winter) and campgrounds and benefits coming from Washington, NOT LOCALLY devastating local vendors. Unmitigated disaster.
