On one hand,yes,it is a bad day for the 1st Amendment with Tucker Carlson ousted from Fox but on other side of coin this may reflect a more strategic play by Murdoch. The Fox personalities were created over decades on HIS platform which is now targeted for attack by Smartmatic, another questionable digital vote tabulation firm claiming damages from lies propagated by Fox News personalities (Remember company not required to apologize with Dominion). This company recently stated they wanted MORE than the settlement of 767M recently agreed to by Dominion so it may be it is time for Fox to retrench, take the short term carnage (Can’t be as bad as CNN plus :-) and rebrand under a different umbrella. And YOU KNOW all the personalities currently still on Fox like Waters and Gutfeld and the rotating THE FIVE have to be beyond disgusted at the censorship shackles the network imposes (think 2000 Mules movie blackout among MANY others). And Carlson isn’t going away, if anything his stature is increased by this blatant power play. Remember Murdoch is a shrewd old bird and there is an election next year so SOMEONE will step to the plate to maintain that conservative presence or as Bob Dylan famously sang “It’s all over now Baby Blue”
