People think these emaciated urban areas will recover but it is our contention that once an urban death cycle begins , it NEVER recovers fully. Once the business base , fueled by commercial real estate collapse contracts then we see decimation of tax base resulting in less police and fire resources and indirectly fueling the brazen lawlessness we are all seeing in the Golden Gate city. Add to this city’s woes (LA in same boat to a point) is current administration on both city and state levels failing miserably in maintaining law and order and most importantly the perception of JUSTICE moving forward. The crime is perpetrated with impunity city wide and it makes no sense for business to be there when criminals have little fear of arrest based on ridiculous city and state laws protecting shoplifters and limiting store level enforcement without penalty. Unless these fundamental policy implementations are changed San Fran is doomed FOREVER. Thank Democrats for this, no one else 2 blame.Every major urban area/city run by Democrats doomed by same or similar preposterous policies. All we have to do is look at the crumbling Rust Belt cities of Detroit and Cleveland and see their demise from lofty success to limited recovery and our hometown of Chicago which is on a serious trajectory downward as well. This is proof positive our opinions fueled by factual observation.And remember the monster earthquake due for San Fran is overdue, that is all they would need at this point.Pray for them.
