As first responders to the news cycle we have had to create a thick skin to insulate ourselves from the horrors we post on an almost daily basis. One could effectively argue that the heinous depravity we continually see, from the never ending mass shootings to war crimes in Ukraine among many others could alter one’s thinking into a perennial glass half empty mentality. Although our coverages span far more than “If it bleeds it leads” editorial mentalities this posted image always seems to bring us back to the GRATEFUL realities of our individual lives and recalibrates our mindset accordingly. We are reading about the alleged gangbusters launch of THREADS but we wish to voice our trepidations on it. Twitter and Musk represent a cantankerous and rocky road entree into the social media space and although one can effectively argue he (Musk) has shown contradictory and sometimes hypocritical stances on censorship, we have not seen him openly cavort with the insidious powers to be as the Zucker has and exhibit the massive censorship they goaded him to execute.Besides the link up to other accounts forcing people to stay on or risk losing Instagram accounts we choose to hold off and stay THREADBARE for now
