We read this and recoil at the supremely flawed narrative from the get go. As Trump rights the statisical wrongs of many years by comparing it to Stalin decades ago referring to entirely different circumstances to make a most misdirected point we wish to make ours regarding crime stats.
Here in Chicago as we thankfully prepare for desperately needed Federal intervention to clean up the crime from our beleaguered city some local media has errantly touted reduced murder rates as indicator of the fact there is no need for Federal intervention. But in the acquisition of those facts , THE WAY the crime stats are assimilated and most importantly dissemimated cloaks the inherent crime that accompanies murder here.
Carjackings by juveniles, robbery crews driving stolen vehicles thru storefronts with impunity immediately come to mind. Impacts of these crimes are fostering lack of faith in law and order here (not to mention disasterous SAFE-T ACT) and contributing in a major way to the documented exodus of business and population out of the city.
These major impacts on city life are never noted in so called crime stats which we know from Trump’s first term .when the opposite was true and stats were obviously manipulated to throw the kitchen sink at stats to make Trump look bad.
Stark reality is the Hussein DOJ had mandated before Trump’s first term directives that forced beat cops into onerous paperwork and result was universal disgust and lack of intelligence being generated. Paperwork dried up. Gang intelligence was lost as the elements of these gangs merged and mutated into the hoods of our city and authorities blind to their moves and actions. WE HAVE NO FAITH IN ANY OF THESE so called STATS.
