The Little Ice Age is generally defined as occurring from around 1300 to about 1850, with significant cold periods noted between 1458–1552, 1600–1720, and 1840–1880. It was marked by regional cooling, particularly in the North Atlantic, leading to advances in glaciers and colder temperatures across various regions.
