As a gregarious single man, I can honestly say as an avid lover of women it is daunting to date these days. Brought up in the carefree 70s and 80s I feel like a fish out of water.

In addition to the upside down social parameters that now exist with easily miscontrued and offensive seemingly innoculous statements that a generation ago were readily accepted as “proper” and now could get you an earful from some feminist or worse, and then there is the STD fears.

Are you vaxxed, do you have HPV virus, a veritable checklist that certainly would give pause to any amourous Romeo exploring the scene.

In addition as a baby boomer I always thought that after 2 marriages and a successful career I earned the right as a single “silver” man to enjoy younger women but they are very repelling by virtue of their generational reality and how they perceive their womanhood. Granted the murky lines of blurred sexuality in that generation add to the social angst these Gen Z /Millenial women feel. Most men are acclimated at this point to being alone AND safe. Sad commentary and most frustrating.
