As juvenile senior citizens we have lived our lives in what now can be considered “THE GOLDEN AGE” of America. Granted we experienced domestic riots, economic upheavals and multiple wars along the way, but we also shared and prospered in the musical and cultural renaissance that accompanies living in a free society WITH FREE SPEECH.
We lived thru the peaceful iconic Woodstock Music Festival that happened in 1969 (we were in 8th grade) in the midst of a horrific war in Vietnam, an event that could never be replicated on that massive scale. This was proven by the violence that accompanied the festival anniversaries that followed.
All thru our lives we entertained competing political viewpoints with respect and open mindedness (and still do when we can). Even the razor thin Bush Gore 2000 election that was decided by SCOTUS never reached the nastiness we are seeing today so when we post the lopsided disaster that was the recent ABC debate with the ensuing fall out in the media world let it be a lesson to us all the public is NOT that stupid.
Sure, some are brainwashed lemmings and always will be, obedient servants of a brazenly bought and sold mainstream media but we strive to educate engage and entertain to the best of our ability and cherish our followers who continue to migrate back to us. We are grateful. Thank you!!
