Just as the tortured ghosts of JFK and RFK are beaming with pride at RFK Jr today, we are sure our owner’s father VL Dehn, a 28 yr employee of the Chicago Tribune who was executed at Quincy Veterans Home by the admitted malfeasance of the troubled state of Illinois on 10/12/2017 is beaming on us as well.
When our editor would visit his father he vividly remembered the 30 foot marble walls & ceilings in the lobby at Tribune Tower on Michigan Ave in Chicago etched with the iconic phrasing echoing the support of free speech spoken by the powers current at the tower’s opening and inserted by the iconic and famous publisher Col McCormick in 1924.
They made an indelible impact on him that resonates to this day and this post makes it ALL worthwhile
