Our read between the lines here is COOK COUNTY TAXES going forward. Makes sense because entertainment taxes in Cook County deplorable. Ask Rocky Wirtz of the Blackhawks who pays out over 15 million a year in taxes on tickets sold averaging around twenty dollars a ticket, the difference in having his team profitable in a given season.It may very well be that political bickering is catalyst for Bears hesitation on pulling the final trigger in Arlington Heights but it also serves as a cover to explore other options. Can always sell the 326 acres they now own on former racetrack site or develop it in partnership with an experienced purveyor. Time will tell…
