Seeing as our toddlin town of Chicago was the epicenter for the birth of the skyscraper back in the late 1800s, it seems fitting this Helmut Jahn “coda” building should dazzle our Michigan Ave “corridor”. Our question remains is who would live there? Sky high rents, dearth of shopping and restaurants that used to be there and extreme safety and crime issues permeate the discussion on that point. We have lived in the metro area of the city proper (read western suburbs)all of our lives and we will NEVER go in urban core of the city for anything anymore and we are not alone. There is a quiet yet understated steady exodus out of the city sure to expand as things progressively get worse which we are sure will be the case given the collapse of law and order and justice we are seeing in new Johnson administration. Good luck!
