This is because an attack on any NATO member is an attack on the whole coalition. Poland in particular has shown aggressive tendencies toward Russia in not only military support to Ukraine but troop placement on borders. And Finland wants in NATO with members now embracing them joining meaning Putin's worse fears recognized as battle for Arctic resources inevitably will heat up in coming years not to mention another NATO country on his border.
