NO one denies COLONIAL POWERS trading of slaves prior to 1776 before USA created but this country has NO RESPONSIBILITY to slave trade EXCEPT for the Confederate states for a limited time in our history. The Confederacy included the states of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia who practiced slavery from 1776 to 1865 (89 years) Knock on the doors of Belgium, England, France and the other mercenary whore countries who exploited slave labor for centuries or the Confederate states during noted time frames. Be specific as we as a country as a whole since 1865 have worked hard to address racism from Lincoln onward so conclusions made here in our opinion are flawed based on that premise
