Controversy-laden Twitter quietly stopped enforcing its Covid-19 misinformation policy last week in a move emblematic of Elon Musk’s view of freedom of speech on the platform as the new CEO recently reinstated accounts like the personal handle of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who was banned in January after spreading falsities about the virus. Since January, Twitter removed 97,674 pieces of content and suspended 11,230 accounts under the guidelines, per the platform. More: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis joined a growing chorus of Republicans taking aim at Apple after Musk claimed the tech giant allegedly threatened to remove Twitter from its App Store, while Apple is yet to confirm the comment.
